The Senior Citizens of Pickens, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charity dedicated to enriching the lives of seniors in the Pickens area. Our mission is to provide older adults with a welcoming place to socialize, enjoy hot meals, and participate in activities that build community, friendship, and well-being.

At the Pickens Senior Center, seniors can gather daily for fellowship, meals, games, special events, and holiday celebrations. We believe that staying connected and active is one of the best ways to support healthy aging and maintain independence.

Who We Serve

Membership is open to all individuals age 50 and older. For a small yearly fee, members enjoy daily meals, games, exercise, social gatherings, and community celebrations in a safe and welcoming environment.

Important Information

The Pickens Senior Center does not provide medical or personal care services. Specifically, our staff is not able to provide assistance normally given by a trained attendant, nurse, or personal caregiver. This includes:

  • Managing incontinence

  • Assisting with restroom use

  • Preventing participants from leaving the Center grounds

Participants must be able to care for themselves independently while attending activities at the Center.
