Rentals at the Pickens Senior Center

Rental Policy & Guidelines

The Senior Citizens of Pickens, Inc. permits the use of the Cafeteria, Auditorium, and the Jack Black room when these are not being used for senior activities or board-designated events.

The Board of Directors reserves the right to refuse any rental request deemed inappropriate for the facility.

Regulations for Use

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, all renters must follow these rules:

1. Facility use is permitted only with a completed Facility Use Application.

2. No smoking anywhere in the building or on the grounds.

3. No alcoholic beverages may be consumed or sold.

4. No obscenity or profanity allowed on premises.

5. All trash, decorations, and personal items must be removed after your event.

6. Do not use center supplies (food, napkins, disposable cups, plates, etc.). Bring your own towels and cleaning supplies.

7. Leave the facility clean and undamaged. Return tables and chairs to their original positions. Renters are responsible for damages.

8. Decorations must not damage walls, ceilings, or other parts of the building.

9. The renter must remain on-site during the entire rental.

10. All events must comply with the City of Pickens noise ordinance.

11. Rental time includes decorating, setup, and cleanup.

12. Ensure all doors are locked and lights turned off (hallway lights remain on).

13. Policies and rates may be updated at the discretion of the Board of Directors.

Rental Rates

Rental rate plus security deposit is required to reserve your date. Security deposits are refunded after the event, less any costs for cleaning or damages. All fees must be paid 30 days prior to the rental date. (Monthly rentals must be paid one month in advance.)
